Jiangong Islet sits at the estuary of Wujiang River off the coast of Nanmen Village, Jincheng Township. Also known as Dong Islet, Zhu Islet, and Sea Turtle Islet, the 500-square-meter islet stands guard over the waters between the main island of Kinmen and the islet of Lieyu. The name Jiangong is a tribute to its noble guardianship.
At low tide, the ecosystem of the intertidal zone emerges along with the slab walkway to Jiangong Islet. It is dubbed the “Moses Parts Sea” of Kinmen for the special landscape change.The giant oystermen sculptures along the path are popular installation trending among tourists as well.
