Sun Moon Lake Station lies to the south east of Sun Moon Lake, the north of Ita Thao community, and the west of Youth Activity Center. The Ropeway incorporates water, land, and air and merges the two characteristic tourist attractions in Taiwan, Sun Moon Lake and Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village. You can take the ropeway to enter the most fun and knowledge filled theme park Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village and experience the stunning 3 stars lake view recommended by Michelin green guide on the cablecar.

Transportation:Nat'l Hwy 1 → Exit at the Nantun Interchange → County Hwy 136 → Prov. Hwy 74 → Exit at the Kuaiguan Interchange → Nat'l Hwy 3 → Wufeng System Interchange → Nat'l Hwy 6 → Exit at the Ailan Interchange → Prov. Hwy 14 → Prov. Hwy 21.

- Take the THSR to Taichung Station, continue by Nantou Bus to Sun Moon Lake stop.
- Take the train to Taipei Railway Station, continue by Guoguang(Kuo-kuang) Bus to Sun Moon Lake stop.
- Take TRA/HSR to Taichung Station, transfer to Sun Moon Lake Route 6670, get off at Sun Moon Lake stop.
