Date:Sep 02, 2025 Number of Visitors:719

Los Angeles, August 19, 2025 — Taiwan has been awarded “Favorite Adventure Destination” for the third consecutive year by readers of the U.S.-based travel media Trazee Travel. The award was presented at the 11th annual The Trazees Awards, held at Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. Director Vivian Lin of Taiwan Tourism Administration, Los Angeles Office accepted the award. This recognition highlights how Taiwan’s rich tourism resources, diverse experiences, and welcoming culture have left a lasting impression on young American travelers, particularly backpackers and independent explorers. It also reflects the success of Taiwan Tourism Administration’s multi-faceted marketing efforts in the U.S. market.

Trazee Travel serves as an essential information platform for U.S. travelers under 40, covering travel trends, popular destinations, and practical guides. Each year, readers vote for The Trazees winners through trazeetravel.com. Voting for the 2025 awards ran from September 2024 to May 2025, and Taiwan’s continued recognition underscores the appeal of the “Taiwan – Waves of Wonder” tourism brand.

Over the past year, Taiwan has promoted its unique attractions through brand marketing and international partnerships. From mountain and coastal adventures to island-wide experiences, Taiwan has also offered exclusive promotions for international travelers, including the “Taiwan the Lucky Land lucky draw, offering NT$5,000 in travel vouchers,” the “Taiwan Free Half-Day Tour for transit passengers,” buy-one-get-one-free Taiwan High-Speed Rail tickets, and the Taiwan PASS. These initiatives have enhanced travel convenience while appealing strongly to U.S. Millennials and Gen Z travelers.

Director Lin expressed gratitude to Trazee Travel readers for their support, noting that the award demonstrates Taiwan’s achievements in promoting tourism in North America while raising its international profile. She highlighted the expansion of Taiwan Tourism Information Centers(TTIC) in Vancouver and Seattle to strengthen overseas services. Strategic alliances between Taiwanese carriers—China Airlines, EVA Air, and Starlux Airlines—and U.S. airlines have also expanded connections to inland U.S. cities and increased direct flight options, making Taiwan a prominent destination in mainstream markets. With an increasingly extensive flight network, business and leisure travel from the U.S. mainland to Taiwan is becoming more convenient, with potential to further boost North American visitor numbers.

The Taiwan Tourism Administration also plans to integrate major exhibitions, such as COMPUTEX Taipei and Taipei Game Show, into travel promotions, providing opportunities for participants and visitors to experience city tourism and encouraging repeat visits as in-depth travelers. Upcoming campaigns, including the “2025–2026 Taiwan Hot Springs & Round Island Tour,” the “Taiwan Cycling Festival,” and the newly released Taiwan Michelin Guide 2025, aim to showcase Taiwan’s diverse attractions, inviting international travelers to enjoy hot springs, local cuisine, and cycling adventures across the island.
