Welcome to the launch of Taiwan’s very friendly homestay branding program! The Tourism Administration, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, is presenting its "Taiwan Hospitable Homestay Carnival" events. These include pop-up booths in Yilan, Chiayi, and Tainan, as well as a "Hospitability Diary" story collection and a "Capture the Hospitality" “check-in lucky draw.” Combined with "Hospitability Homestay Month" promotions, the activities invite travelers to experience Taiwan's interesting and touching homestay culture.
The Carnival features a truck transformed into the "Hospitability Travel Express." Its schedule takes it from Taipei to three pop-up events across Taiwan: 1) October 17-19: Yilan’s Lanyang Museum, with a lively meet-and-greet; 2) October 24-26, Tainan’s Yuguang Island; 3) December 19-21, Chiayi’s KANO Park. Online activities are a part of the promotional events. Travelers are invited to submit their touching stories and photos to the "Hospitality Diary" and "Capture Hospitality, Encounter Hospitality" on the event website. Submitting stories and photos, including with the Hospitality Homestay logo, provides chances to win accommodation vouchers and other prizes. At the same time, a "Hospitability Homestay Monthly Online Joint Offers" site on the website is set to compile accommodation and experience discounts from all over Taiwan.
The Carnival pop-up event will feature five themed booths, transformed into "miniature homestays." These combine owners telling their stories, DIY experiences, stamp collection raffles, and local delicacies. In these immersive experiences, visitors can feel the hospitable warmth of the homestays. Owners from across Taiwan will take turns appearing, introducing their stories and different hospitality styles, from natural ecology and cultural exploration to family-friendly pet experiences, gourmet feasts, and distinctive architecture. Each stop will present unique "Taiwanese flavors," allowing travelers to step into the stories and experience the warmth of the people.
The Tourism Administration said that "Hospitable Homestays" are the most representative sites in Taiwan's accommodation culture, welcoming every traveler from home and abroad with the core values of hospitality, friendliness, cleanliness, safety, and high quality. This year's theme is "First Stop: A Taste of Taiwan for Travelers." It showcases the diverse charm and warmth of homestays across Taiwan through the Carnival events and promotions during "Hospitable Homestay Month." Visitors are not only introduced to beautiful scenery, but can also experience the hospitality and stories of the homestay owners.
