Two-Day Accessible Tour in Nantou, the Sun Moon Lake

Highlights

Sun Moon Lake is one of the most famous landmark and touristic attractions in Taiwan. Electronic shuttle boats are available for disabled passengers. You could take the boat from the yacht port of Shuishe to the "Xuanguang Temple" which was built around 1955 in memory of the Buddhist monk Xuanzang. The "Ita Thao Cultural Village" is for tourists to appreciate the traditional culture, songs and dances of the Thao tribe. You should not miss the "Sun Moon Lake Ropeway". The ropeway incorporates water, land, and air and merges the two characteristic tourist attractions in Taiwan, Sun Moon Lake and Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village. You can take the ropeway to enter the most fun and knowledge-filled theme park, Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village, and experience the stunning 3 stars lake view recommended by Michelin green guide on the cable car. Finally, at the "Xiangshang Visitor Center", you will experience the uniquely designed building with wood-patterned exteriors and wings that stretch like human arms embracing the earth. In addition, the two giant canopy structures, each 34 meters long and 8 meters tall, allow people to enjoy beautiful views of Sun Moon Lake from the top. Next to the visitors center, there is Xiangshang bikeway, where you can enjoy biking around the beautiful lake shore.
